Know exactly who you are dealing with before a physical meetup occurs. Users can voluntarily verify their accounts using Stripe Identity Verification. This process securely matches facial biometrics against official government documents. Verified users are awarded a premium "Trust Badge" (a Golden Checkmark) that appears next to their profile, phone number, and listings.

The Secure "QR Handshake" & Photo Vaults
We have eliminated the "he said, she said" disputes commonly found on legacy classified boards. When you meet to exchange a rental, both parties use our "QR Handshake".
• Instant Validation: The renter scans the owner's secure QR code to instantly validate the start of the transaction and track the exact time the rental begins.
• Before & After Photos: During the scan, users are required to log the condition of the item. These "Before and After" images act as a secure photo-evidence vault. In the event of a dispute over damages, these photos are used to automatically mitigate issues through our secure infrastructure.

True Reliability (Bayesian Reputation Math)
Not all 5-star ratings are created equal. Instead of a simple average that can be easily skewed by a single outlier, GoatRent uses Bayesian Reputation Math. Our system weights a user's score based on their volume of reviews, ensuring that true reliability surfaces to the top. Furthermore, to prevent fake reviews, users can only rate each other after a verified transaction has taken place.
